Sustainable development of station area in Oslo

In collaboration with Axel Kristoffersen Arkitekter, Sweco’s urban planning consultants and landscape architects have developed a master plan for the Holtet station area in Oslo. The plan unites the functional, aesthetic and technical in an ingenious and sustainable total solution.

The goal of the plan is to create a basis for residential and commercial development with good connections to the Holtet public transport hub.

A project team consisting of landscape architects, road planners and urban planning consultants has worked closely to create a traffic solution that gives the area twice the previous size of green areas without having to reduce the amount of space for construction of new housing and businesses. Sweco’s combined expertise and varied approaches led to a harmonious and sustainable plan for the area.
