SmartDrawings
SmartDrawings ™ is a design visualization service where all parties involved in a project can explore a 3D model of a building or building services in the cloud on a computer or mobile. The service provides simple and fast access to an up-to-date BIM model outside of design offices. No separate software is required.
SmartDrawings ™ 3D plans serve as a tool alongside 2D plans and enable a more efficient production process.
The SmartDrawings™ service covers building services plans
In MEP installations, the data content and 3D geometry of the building information model make it easier to understand the design and enable seamless communication between different parties.
In addition to building information models, other plans are also needed to implement MEP plans. In addition to the building information model, the SmartDrawings service can also be used to open PDF drawings, such as diagrams, lists and level drawings, in electronic format and view the revision history of the plan. In the future, the SmartDrawings™ service will be available to our customers free of charge in all applicable projects. In this context, the free features of the service will expand significantly: in the future, tools such as measurement, cuts, commenting and data model data will be included in the service.
The SmartDrawings™ service is available to our customers free of charge in all applicable projects. The use of the service is agreed upon as part of the project planning together with Sweco’s contact person.

SmartDrawings ™ makes Sweco’s data models of structural plans available to everyone via QR codes. The service also has tools targeted by user roles. It includes tools for a wider, maximum use of the data model:

Fineweld used the SmartDrawings service on-site in the Northvolt project. The 3D information model is updated automatically and all parties had access to the latest version of the drawings.
The steel structure models illustrated with SmartDrawings supported also the request for quote phase.
