Sweco’s new sustainability consulting business unit

Sweco strengthens its sustainability consulting expertise and services by creating a new business unit that aims to serve clients even more comprehensively in the planning and implementation of sustainable business.

“Sustainability is at the core of Sweco’s business and plays an important role in advancing our clients’ strategies. We want to make sustainability an even stronger and more comprehensive part of Sweco and all our client projects. Together, Sweco and Gaia have a very wide range of sustainability consulting services, and with the new business unit, we will bring this expertise together and thus make it more available to all our clients,” says Thomas Hietto, CEO of Sweco Finland.

Gaia Consulting Oy, a sustainability business consulting company that has been part of Sweco since 2021, will transfer to a new business unit, which will be complemented by Sweco’s diverse sustainability expertise as well as recruitment of new experts.

“For thirty years, Gaia has been a pioneer in developing sustainable business and integrating sustainability into our clients’ strategies. It is now particularly important that acts of sustainability move quickly into practice. That is why we are developing our business to meet this need as well, and the new unit is a natural next step towards it.
