Sweco was involved in carrying out the Finnish Real Estate Management Federation’s annual plumbing renovation barometer (Putkiremonttibarometri) published on 12 April 2019. The most important reasons for starting plumbing renovations are leaks found in plumbing systems and observations made during conditions surveys. Anticipation and carefully implemented long term plans guide the maintenance of housing companies, but their importance is not yet evident in all decisions. Read more

Sweco’s industry experts designed a smart electricity network, which uses exclusively renewable energy, for Lidl’s distribution centre in Järvenpää. The enormous property is heated and cooled with the solar panels of its own micro-network – auxiliary power systems and purchased energy are used only when necessary.
