Today’s cities have an unavoidable impact on the environment, but adverse effects can be minimised. Sweco’s water and environmental specialists work with reducing harmful emissions, recycling waste and ensuring access to clean water. We also offer solutions that reduce climate impact and adapt society to a changed climate.
A significant amount of assets are bound to the underground water management networks. A water or sewage pipeline is always an investment with a service life of decades. The correct dimensioning of the pipes and pumping stations have a large impact on energy conservation and costs of use. Managing the network assets and catching up with the renovation debt are large challenges.
Sweco offers the pre-planning and general planning of water and sewage pipelines as well as transmission lines, and also construction planning for all locations, ranging from the pressurised sewage networks of dispersed settlements to networks in city centres and long transmission lines. In addition to water management networks, our competence covers the planning of gas pipes.
We carry out the network’s dimensioning and capacity reviews, pumping system reviews and optimisation as well as the modelling of water pipeline, wastewater sewer and run-off water sewer networks.
We help our customers with managing their network assets and reducing their water leaks. We draft investigation programmes of leakage water, renovation programmes and construction plans for the implementation of network renovation.
In addition to the engineering services, we provide supervision and construction services for the network’s construction and renovation sites.
