Who would have believed a couple of decades ago that building wind power without subsidies could ever be profitable? The situation has changed. The need for wind power and its capacity are growing, and construction is accelerating. New projects are being developed on commercial terms, and the latest wind farms have already been built entirely without state support.<\/p>\n

It is predicted that this year wind power will become the most common form of electricity generation in Finland. Already, the peak capacity of wind power exceeds 3,000 MW, and by the end of the year, with the capacity currently under construction, it will rise to 5,000 MW. The direction is clear.
\nAlthough wind power is one of the most economical ways to increase renewable energy, growth also brings challenges.<\/p>\n

The supply and demand of wind-generated electricity do not always match. When wind power production capacity is high, electricity prices fall, demand increases, and storage becomes possible. Producing hydrogen with wind power when electricity prices are low is therefore justified.
\nIn addition to balancing supply and demand, another challenge is how to store and utilize electricity generated from green wind power efficiently. One solution is the production of green hydrogen, where water electrolysis enables the electrochemical manufacturing of hydrogen.
\nAffordable wind power is also used for heating water reserves and producing district heating.<\/p>\n
