Safety assessment and approval services<\/h1>\n

Sweco\u2019s assessment and approval services provide its customers with independent safety assessments of railway safety systems and products, and help them acquire safety approvals for railway systems within the EU and introduce new railway products to the Finnish market.<\/p>\n

As part of our independent assessment services, we will inspect and evaluate the comprehensiveness of risk management processes based on the common safety method, CSM (AsBo\/CSM ISA), and conformity of functional safety with EN standards (CENELEC EN ISA), and report our findings to our customers. Once a safety assessment has been completed, we will create a safety report, in accordance with the requirements, of the product, system or changes made to these. We can also help our customers interpret standards and EU regulations. Our assessment service unit is an independent, accredited safety assessment provider that complies with the Finnish Railway Traffic Act.<\/p>\n

As part of the approval services, our safety assessment experts help our customers ensure that their new products and systems meet the relevant requirements.\u00a0Our approval services are available for those products and services that we do not assess ourselves.\u00a0We guarantee an efficient approval process, smooth communication with the inspection agencies and authorities, and product approvals that are granted as quickly as possible.\u00a0If necessary, we can also help our customers ensure that their products comply with the requirements by taking part in the inspections.<\/p>\n

We make sure that products meet the requirements by identifying the applicable requirements within the EEA and assisting our customers plan and arrange the necessary testing and inspection processes required to prove compliance. As the end result of these processes, our customers receive the necessary approvals for their products.\u00a0We also provide our expert services in functional safety management, risk management processes and ERTMS solutions.<\/p>\n

Launched in 2011, Sweco\u2019s accredited assessment and approval services are a valued service provider.\u00a0Our accredited areas of expertise include e.g. standards EN 50126-1, EN 50126-2, EN 50128, EN 50129 and EN 50159, as well as the CSM regulation (EU) N:o 402\/2013.\u00a0\u00a0 The FINAS accreditation certificate of our assessment and approval services is available on FINAS\u2019s<\/a> website.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n
