Expertise for building European battery industry<\/h1>\n

The battery industry in Europe is growing rapidly, providing solutions for sustainable mobility<\/a>, the fight against climate change and the green transition<\/a> in energy production. Sweco acts as a partner to a responsible European battery industry<\/a> throughout the entire value chain: from the battery material production to the manufacturing, usage, and recycling of batteries.<\/p>\n

Lithium-ion batteries are needed, for example, in the electrification of transport, consumer electronics, tools and backup power supplies. Electric batteries also offer solutions for energy storage<\/a> and enable flexible utilisation of renewable energy.<\/p>\n

Our experts lead the planning and implementation of projects in the battery industry. We a partner with Easpring,<\/a> Terrafame, Northvolt<\/a> and Morrow<\/a>, among others, in investments to build the battery value chain for the green transition.<\/p>\n

The European battery value chain responds sustainably to the global need for lithium-ion batteries. Sweco is committed to building a carbon-neutral battery value chain that takes into account social, environmental and social responsibility. Northern Europe is an excellent location for the battery industry, as the availability of raw materials and clean energy is good, production chains are transparent, and sources of battery materials can be traced.<\/p>\n

Sweco\u00b4s international team is dedicated to support investors in a developing of a sustainable battery industry across Europe. Responsible practises, such as energy-efficient production processes, efficient utilisation of materials and production side streams, and recycling solutions, reduce the environmental impact of the battery industry and the need for virgin raw materials.<\/p>\n
