Sweco to Design Ren-Gas\u2019s Renewable E-Methane Production Plant in Tampere<\/h1>\n

Sweco will design Ren-Gas\u2019s e-methane production plant, which will be built near the Tarastenj\u00e4rvi power plant, northeast of Tampere. The location allows for the delivery of carbon dioxide from a nearby power plant, and the integration of district heating for the utilization of waste heat. The plant has been granted a valid environmental permit, and the construction of the project is scheduled for 2025\u20132027. Upon completion, the Tampere production plant will produce renewable fuel for approximately 600 heavy vehicles and a significant amount of renewable district heating for the residents of Tampere.<\/p>\n

\u201cRen-Gas\u2019s e-methane production plant in Tampere will be a significant milestone in implementing green transition investments in Finland. Ren-Gas will build several e-methane production plants in Finland in the coming years, so the safety and modularity of the plant concept will be the cornerstones of the design.
