The preparation of the pipeline route, which is more than 1000 kilometres long, will next proceed to an environmental impact assessment.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Sweco has been selected as a partner in Gasgrid&#8217;s framework agreement. Sweco\u2019s services include environmental consulting for the hydrogen infrastucture, such as EIA procedures, preparation of environmental and water permit applications, needed environmental and nature surveys, and land acquisition consulting. The framework agreement is for the next four years, and it is possible to extend the agreement period. The first assignments will begin in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are excited to be involved in promoting the energy transition and the development of the hydrogen economy in Finland. We have a lot of experience in EIA processes in different fields and strong expertise in environmental and nature surveys.
