Sweco Finland is pleased to participate in the program as ILF\u2019s partner within both parts of the framework agreements.<\/p>\n<p>The awarded framework agreements cover the following scopes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Engineering services for compressor stations (Part 1)<\/li>\n<li>Engineering services for onshore hydrogen pipelines (Part 2)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Through these framework agreements, ILF and Sweco support the planning and phased development of Finland\u2019s national hydrogen transmission network. Finnish National Transmission Network forms the backbone of Finland\u2019s future hydrogen infrastructure and creates the foundation for integration into the wider European hydrogen market. The hydrogen transmission network will enable large\u2011scale, cost\u2011efficient transport of hydrogen, balancing between production and consumption, and preparedness for future storage solutions. Gasgrid\u2019s objective is to develop a safe, high\u2011performance and forward\u2011looking hydrogen infrastructure that supports hydrogen production, transmission and use as part of the evolving energy system.<\/p>\n<p>Within the framework, Sweco contributes extensive multidisciplinary expertise, including energy and pipeline infrastructure, compressor and industrial plant engineering, civil and geotechnical design, environmental and ecological studies, and chemical and process safety.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDeveloping Finland\u2019s hydrogen transmission network is a key step towards an integrated European hydrogen market. The network is a cross\u2011cutting part of the entire energy system, where safety, reliability and future scalability are essential.
