Fimpec Companies to Merge into Sweco<\/span><\/h1>\n

May 22, 2026<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

As a result of the merger, the Fimpec companies will cease to exist as separate legal entities, and their operations will continue as part of Sweco\u2019s business.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of October 2025, Sweco entered into an agreement to acquire the Fimpec Group. The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority approved the transaction in November, and as of the beginning of December, the Fimpec companies became part of Sweco.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a result of the acquisition, Sweco\u2019s organization has grown by approximately 400 experts, strengthening our position as a leading provider of consulting, design, project management, and construction management services, particularly in the energy and industrial sectors. Together, we are able to offer our clients first-class project and design expertise as well as comprehensive services for the successful delivery of even the most demanding projects.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Fimpec companies will merge into Sweco on 31 May 2026:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Fimpec Group Oy (Business ID 2850494-8) will merge into Sweco Finland Oy (Business ID 2661738-3)
\n<\/span>Fimpec Engineering Oy (Business ID 2133526-4) will merge into Sweco Finland Oy (Business ID 2661738-3)
\n<\/span>Fimpec PMO Oy (Business ID 2265287-8) will merge into Sweco PM Oy (Business ID 2635438-4)<\/span><\/p>\n

In the merger, the assets, liabilities, and obligations of the Fimpec companies will be transferred to Sweco Finland Oy and Sweco PM Oy by way of universal succession in accordance with the Finnish Limited Liability Companies Act.<\/span><\/p>\n

As of 1 June 2026, the email addresses of Fimpec employees will change to the format firstname.lastname@sweco.fi, as a rule. Phone numbers will remain unchanged.<\/span><\/p>\n
