Sweco acquires Teollisuuden Vesi Oy<\/h1>\n

Sweco has acquired the entire share capital of Teollisuuden Vesi Oy. The acquisition complements Sweco’s water treatment expertise and strengthens its offering, especially for companies in the industrial and energy sector.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Teollisuuden Vesi, founded in 2003, is a specialist company in water treatment, water chemistry and microbiology. The company specializes in solving industrial water treatment needs in pure water, recycled water and wastewater processes throughout their life cycle and operation. The company employs approximately 20 experts.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe help our clients with water treatment and thereby improve the operating conditions of entire industrial plants. For the mining industry, we provide expert services in water management, with the aim of increasing water recycling and minimizing environmental impacts. We also support water utilities in drinking water production and wastewater treatment, contributing to the operational reliability of water supply,\u201d says Maija Vidqvist<\/strong>, Managing Director of Teollisuuden Vesi.<\/p>\n

“The strong and unique water expertise of Teollisuuden Vesi is a key driver behind this acquisition. The operating environment of the process and energy industry is changing rapidly: water-intensive processes, tightening regulations and the need to improve resource efficiency require our clients to take an ever more comprehensive approach to water management. By combining the in-depth expertise of Teollisuuden Vesi with the broad technical expertise and international network of Sweco, we are building world-class capabilities and helping our clients develop more competitive, sustainable and water-wise processes,” says Tuomas Salminen<\/strong>, Division Director at Sweco.<\/p>\n

As a result of the acquisition, Teollisuuden Vesi Oy has been transferred to Sweco’s ownership in its current form. The consolidation with Sweco will take place in spring 2027, when the company’s experts will become part of Sweco’s Industry and Energy division.<\/p>\n
