Hippos Centre Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 implemented using a project management model<\/h1>\n

The Hippos Centre in Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 is planned as a comprehensive hub for sports, physical activity, and wellbeing, where various stakeholders will jointly develop activities and services.<\/p>\n

The Hippos Centre will provide facilities for approximately 20 different sports, including athletics, artistic gymnastics, martial arts, group fitness, and ball games. In addition to the sports facilities, the complex will also house a daycare centre, restaurants, and retail premises.<\/p>\n

The Ice Sports Centre will be delivered through the renovation and expansion of the existing ice arena. In addition, three practice ice rinks will be constructed at the Hippos site. A total of 26,000 square metres of space will be allocated for the Knowledge and Competence Centre. Outdoor areas will include a sports park for public use and 900 parking spaces.<\/p>\n

The coordination of the Hippos Centre construction project includes site supervision, scheduling, procurement, cost control, and the management of implementation design. The project is being carried out in collaboration with multiple stakeholders and is progressing in phases.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Local Collaboration<\/h3>\n

The project draws on local expertise and is managed by a collaborative project management organization responsible for advancing the overall development together with the client. The project’s objective is to develop the area and strengthen its role as an integral part of the urban environment.<\/p>\n
