Sweco has acquired Fimpec Group

At the beginning of October, Sweco signed an agreement to acquire Fimpec Group. The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority approved the acquisition in November, and the Fimpec companies have been transferred to Sweco’s ownership since the beginning of December.

Together, we can offer our clients first-class project execution and design expertise as well as comprehensive services for the implementation of even the most demanding projects,” says Thomas Hietto, CEO of Sweco Finland.
The Fimpec companies have been transferred to Sweco’s ownership in their current form, and the merger with Sweco is currently estimated to take place during spring 2026.
Contracts and projects will continue as before, and the completion of the acquisition will not cause any action to clients. The contact persons in the projects will also remain unchanged.
