Foundation design for wind turbines

We can act as the responsible structural engineer for wind power projects or review plans made by others. The loads on the foundations in wind farms built on land or at sea can be up to a thousand times higher than in other infrastructure projects, and therefore the foundation method is always selected and the foundations are always dimensioned on a case-by-case basis. Our goal is concrete structures that last the entire life cycle of the wind turbine, at best more than 30 years.

In addition to the Eurocode, we follow about five different standard and guideline families in the foundation design of wind turbines. We review all the conditions and phenomena that affect the durability of foundations. For example, in the fatigue design of structures, dynamic and cyclic loads on the foundations of wind turbines are taken into account. In the design of wind turbines, we also utilize post-tensioned cast-in-place structures our design expertise.

Parametric design ing creases design automation, improves information flow and enables rapid updating of plans throughout the project.
