Leading datacenter business development at Sweco
At Sweco, Antti‑Jussi’s role is to systematically advance the datacenter business by understanding where the datacenter market is heading, identifying customer requirements, and deploying the right expertise at the right time. He is especially involved in the early phases of datacenter projects, where the most critical and long‑term decisions regarding location, energy, design, and investment are made.
With over 15 years of experience in datacenter and industrial projects, Antti‑Jussi quickly understands complex datacenter ecosystems. He identifies critical risks early, highlights key decision points, and brings a practical, solution‑oriented perspective to datacenter planning and development.
Rather than applying a fixed model, Antti‑Jussi builds tailored datacenter teams for each project. In addition to core datacenter specialists, experts in energy systems, zoning, infrastructure, and industrial design are integrated as required. This ensures that clients receive precisely the datacenter expertise their project demands.
A key strength in Antti‑Jussi’s datacenter leadership is clarity. He helps clients make informed, strategic decisions and maintain control of complex datacenter projects—even when they are technically demanding, capital‑intensive, and schedule‑critical.

Two Questions on Datacenters
- What currently excites you most about working with datacenters?
“One of the best aspects of my job is the international operating environment. I enjoy studying and speaking different languages, and I get to use them often. In addition, the industry is constantly changing. Technology is developing all the time, and the work is not ‘copy-paste’—it is continuous learning.
Being involved in building the future datacenter industry is also highly motivating. This future is already taking shape as Finland transitions toward value creation based on data. Datacenters can become a long‑term pillar of Finnish industry, supporting society and economic resilience.
It is not only about datacenters being built in Finland, but about developing Finnish datacenter expertise. This includes manufacturing components for datacenters and creating export‑driven industrial value chains.”
- How do you stay up to date in the fast‑moving datacenter industry?
“Active dialogue with datacenter stakeholders, partners, and clients is essential. Continuous reading, learning, and challenging existing datacenter solutions help ensure that projects are delivered better, more efficiently, and more sustainably.”
