How is VisuLight different from BIM viewers?

Many people are already familiar with BIM viewers that work in a browser, and VisuLight can easily be perceived as such. In reality, however, VisuLight is not a BIM viewer, but a visualization service developed for a different purpose.

BIM viewers are primarily tools for architects and specialist designers to support design. They are typically utilised in the later stages of the project, when the models of different design disciplines are ready and reviewed together with the project team.

At Sweco, BIM-based tools are represented by SmartDrawings and VirtualSite, for example, which serve precisely this design and development work by professionals. VisuLight is not a crowbar design tool, but a tool for communication, illustration and sales.
