Ruusupuisto in Jyväskylä

The new user-friendly University building in Ruusupuisto in Jyväskylä has been designed for the demanding use of the Faculty of Education, the Finnish Institute for Educational Research and open university.

Construction started in October 2013 and the building was taken into use in the autumn of 2015. The design is founded on user-friendliness. The building is used by 300 employees and one thousand students. In order to design the best possible campus, the needs and wishes of the users were determined in detail.

The project was carried out as a project management contract, where the designers and contractors worked together seamlessly.

Sweco was in charge of electrical planning.
