Sweco acquires SDH Engineers Oy’s business operations

Sweco has entered into an agreement to acquire the business operations of SDH Engineers Oy. With the acquisition, the service offering of Sweco’s Rovaniemi unit will be complemented with electrical design and consulting services.

Founded in 2005, SDH Engineers Oy is an engineering company specializing in electrical design and consulting, operating mainly in Northern Finland. The company’s design projects are largely new and renovated projects in the public sector, and the most typical projects include hospital and health care environments as well as office premises and educational buildings.

“SDH Engineers Oy has long-term client relationships, especially with public sector clients, and their electrical design expertise complements the service offering of our Rovaniemi unit excellently. In the future, in addition to structural and HVAC design, we will also offer our clients electrical design services locally,” says Ismo Tawast, Director of Sweco’s Buildings division.

As of 1.3.2025, SDH Engineers Oy’s four employees will transfer to Sweco and form a new team at the Northern and Eastern Finland Electrical Design Unit.
